I try to doodle something silly at least once every day, thought I would share today’s. It’s a good creative exercise and I try not to spend more than ten minutes on each one which keeps them easy and fun. Lately I have been making tons of art journals full of creative ideas and inspiration too. What do you guys do to keep your artistic side going? -amanda

Looks like Steal Her Style has broken down Stacy’s outfit from our recent shoot with her band Sucré in LA. Be on the lookout for a special acoustic video premiere from us and the band on June 4th right here on the blog. -amanda

Cadah is one of the winners of our #vansgirlsstyle challenge. Check out her casual cool style with the Leopard Authentic Lo Pro. -amanda

One of our Classics designers here at Vans, Angie, posted this on her blog recently. Not sure when and where it’s from but I am obsessed with the styling. I think I have all of these elements in my closet besides the pants… need those. -amanda
Thought I got this song out of my head last week but nope, it’s back. I also love the video and even though it’s been out about a month I haven’t forgotten about it yet which is impressive. So here’s a Monday afternoon wake up for you and a bonus, you can have the album for free. -amanda
On Saturday my friend Celina and I got a chance to check out the Transmission LA: AV Club exhibit curated by Mike D of the Beastie Boys at the MOCA in downtown LA. It was closing weekend and the place was packed out. Overall favorites definitely seemed to be the giant pinwheel creations by Jim Drain & Ara Peterson, the animated road trip room by Ben Jones which felt like you stepped into a life sized video game, and the floating neon effect created by Peter Coffin. If you missed out, they made An Insider’s Guide zine about the exhibit with photos and more info from the artists that you can check out. So glad we made it before this one came down. -amanda

Our girl Meg Myers might be having a moment. We have been obsessed with her voice since we found her in LA back in December and she played Monster for us in an epic, angsty, acoustic apartment performance… cello included. This week alone we spotted the photo above in the summer issue of London based Who’s Jack magazine, a segment on Last Call with Carson Daly, and her new hilarious video for Tennessee where she’s a Vans wearing Nerf assassin. Oh, and she’s giving you her EP for free. Win. -amanda
Here’s a second acoustic exclusive from Renee Yohe and her band BEARCAT for their track Saudade. Seriously guys, this one has been stuck in my head for like a century… ok fine, since we shot this last week. We love Renee’s style and amazing voice. Check out this video and stay tuned for a fun interview with the band coming next week. -amanda
