The 2013 Vans Warped Tour kickoff party was last night in LA and it was a fun night full of touring friends and lots of great surprises on stage. The girls really stole the show last night with a mix of acoustic and full band sets from Charlotte Sometimes, Dia Frampton, Echosmith, Gin Wigmore, and Juliet Simms. We’ve known most of the girls from tours past but our new favorite find from the evening was Gin Wigmore. Check out her ridiculously fun video for Man Like That. We Vans Girls have had a pretty good year in 2012. I rounded up a few of my favorite moments and posts from the year for you all to check out. From musical performances to DIY tutorials here’s my top 10 in 2012:
Refinery 29 came and took a fun photo tour of our office and my stylish coworkers. Hey, I wasn’t there to make the style cut but at least my desk did haha.

We were full of ways to customize your kicks this year… Alyson taught you how to dip dye your Vans in this rad tutorial. While Brittany showed us a new take on studs, spikes, and Slip-Ons.
Our friends from the band Bearcat stopped by our office to play us some acoustic tunes.
Elsie & Emma from one of our absolute favorite blogs, A Beautiful Mess, featured two super rad DIY tutorials on their own Vans shoes.
We met up with the band Sucre in downtown LA for some Q&A and a gorgeous take on their song ‘Light Up.’
Vans Surfer Leila Hurst taught me how to make surf board bags… or any kind of bag really, in this fun video.
Our friends in the band States sent us this sweet video to post for you guys of their song ‘As Good As It Gets (Inside)’ acoustic.
I had an absolute blast shooting Coachella this year with my good friend Brianna. We shot bands, style, and pretty much anything else you can think of. Happy New Year everyone and thanks for keeping up with us on the blog! -amanda
This Saturday, I was able to attend the Vans Warped Tour in Uniondale, New York with my friend Meghan. As expected, there was a ton of walking and lots of hydration needed. I got to scope out all of the great merch at the tents and spotted many babes in, of course, Vans. This season, lots of girls were sporting high-waisted denim cut off shorts to go with their Authentics. My favorite performances of the day included the acoustic set of Thursday’s Geoff Rickly, and headliners Taking Back Sunday. We got a little (or maybe a lot) crazy when TBS played our favorite old songs. -alyson

Last week I showed you guys the first episode of Follow My Vans, this week we are back with episode two in a new place. Oh June gloom, how I hate you so. It’s been nothing but a dreary month so far, but I have high hopes for July. Blistering heat, cut off shorts everyday…that’s what I’m looking forward to. Today was the first day I decided to bring out my Speckled Authentics, as well as the Pomona Warped Tour…which, in fact I’m missing for work. *currently throwing a pity party* If I were going, this is what I’d be wearing. starting warped tour tomorrow. i honestly can’t believe that a full year has passed since last summer. got to see a lot of faces i like today so that was lovely. here are a few snaps and i also can let you all know that i will have the first tour video out this coming tuesday which should be lots of fun! i will do my best to keep posting photos and things for you guys here and ps, i gave this blog a little facelift so check it out. xo, amanda rae.
Today we arrived in Utah for the kickoff of this summer’s Warped Tour. Myself, along with the bus full of boys will be out for Vans this year. I’ll be bringing you guys a new video every Tuesday with updates from the road starting next week, plus lots of fun photos.
