vans:

As I mentioned earlier I stopped by the Vans US Open today to check things out. I caught up with Vans Surf’s Leila Hurst to watch her first heat of the contest for the Jr. Womens where she won! Go Leila! Then headed over to Van Doren Village to see what the crew was cooking up to grab a snack and hang out at the skate bowl where some of our favorite artists were finishing up their pieces. See the full event schedule & stay tuned for tons more from the Vans US Open all week! -amanda

Summer is finally here and so is the social acceptance of wearing denim cut-offs and tank tops everyday… because really, that’s pretty much my uniform these days. Last month Amanda and Leila came for a little Boston visit where we ran around Boston Calling festival, and played dress up with all my favorite spring/summer Vans gear: The Greetings tee, Star spangled chambray Authentic Hi’s, Mint Old Skools, the Capital denim shorts, and my deepest obsession, the Sk8-Hi Platforms! I also had a chance to interview her, which made me even more of a mega-fan of Leila. Check out the interview now! -brittany

Hey! Hey you! Did you hear the good news? Summer is finally here, and I’ve already got all my beach days planned out for the next four months. Since it is now a nice 90 degrees outside, I think it’s time I start my surf lessons right up again. This weekend I made my way to one of the local beaches, and of course I had to bring my Tie Dye Realm backpack for the sunscreen I DIDN’T use (seriously…I’m a lobster ugh), my Vans Heart sunnies, and my most favorite Leopard Slip-ons. What are you beach necessities? -brittany

Another photo update from Vans Surfer Leila Hurst in Boston with the Vans Girls crew. Second day of Boston Calling music fest & a little city exploration:

“Boston, day number 3! So so so many different, yet amazing things going on here! The weather was so much better today. We left the festival for a bit to get lunch & the girls and I got to meet up with friends from Boston who took us around the cute little area we are staying in. There were so many amazing street performers! I don’t see that on Kauai that’s for sure! We also got to see the ocean, which I want nothing to do with because it did not look inviting. Too cold! Right before dark we headed back over to watch Of Monsters and Men, which I loved! I think they won best performance in my eyes. Goodnight Boston! I have a busy day at the aquarium tomorrow! So excited!” -Leila
