My friend Ariel has one of the best styles on our campus… and with us going to a fashion school, it’s hard to keep that title. When it comes to the Leather Sk8-Hi D-Los, anything and everything goes. There are no rules with those kicks, which is why they’re our favorite. -alyson
It’s our East Coast blogger Alyson’s birthday today! Everyone give her a little birthday love and you can check out all of her recent posts and photos in her blog stream. Happy Birthday! -amanda
I have developed a new obsession with making little collages on Polyvore. A mix between cute outfits and cool illustration art to match? Perfect for us creative girls. I made this one using some of my favorite picks from the Vans Girls shop! You too can get your style on, with the Spicey Dress, Washed Authentic Slims, Fringed Up Cross-Body Purse, and Fakie Eyeglasses. -alyson
This week, I slipped on my Authentics and paired them with my Muscles tank and Beach Bound shorts (that I studded myself!), to head out and go gallery hopping. I was able to check out the Yancey Richardson Gallery, where there was a showing for photographer Alex Prager’s series Compulsion. Her use of bright colors with dramatic scenes are amazing. You also get an old Hollywood movie vibe, which is making me want some LA weather on the east coast, right about NOW. -alyson
On Saturday, I went to Central Park with my friend Ashley, and did a little photo shoot. I wanted to give the photos a super dreamy, girly mood, perfect for how every Vans Girl should feel. Grab her cute style: Original Jersey Tee, Border Control Shorts, Set Sail Fedora, Leopard Authentics -alyson
For the day, my friend Meghan and I took the subway uptown to Central Park. We embraced the nice weather and took a ton of photos. Central Park is definitely one of my favorite spots in New York. It’s a great escape when you need to get away from the city. -alyson
ps. get the girls look here: skelty cat tank, jersey fleece top, border control shorts.
For the weekend, I escaped New York City to go back home to the suburbs. I took my cameras for a long walk and found these cute little white flowers to pair with my favorite Snaked Cross-Body Purse. Putting flowers in my hair just might be my new thing, too. It’s official: I have spring fever and am loving it. -alyson
This week, I took a trip to the top of the Empire State Building and looked at New York from above for the first time. I’ve been living in the city for seven months, and I was long overdue. It was definitely worth the long wait, the sight was absolutely amazing. I went at the perfect time too: Was able to catch the sunset and the city lights all in one trip. -alyson

This weekend, I decided to take a day to myself. I slipped on my new Authentics (which I’m obsessed with, by the way) with cameras in hand, and headed uptown to the Museum of Modern Art. There’s nothing better than having no worries and only art in sight. Totally sparked my mind to stay inspired and creative. -alyson
